Auckland-based Straker Limited (ASX:STG), a global provider of AI-powered translation solutions, announced a new contract with the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (CdT). Under the agreement, Straker will deliver translation and post-editing services for English text into French.

The estimated value of the contract is EUR 0.525 million (around NZD 1.06 million at the current exchange rate). The contract has an initial duration of 12 months and is automatically renewable up to three times, allowing for a total possible term of 48 months. Either party may terminate the agreement by giving written notice at least three months before the end of the current term.

Background and Client Relationship

The Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (CdT) provides translation and linguistic services to various EU institutions and agencies. Straker has worked with the European Union intermittently since 2022, supplying technology-enabled translation solutions to meet the organisation’s linguistic and compliance requirements.

This new agreement represents a continuation of that collaboration and demonstrates Straker’s ongoing engagement with major institutional clients in the public sector.
