DroneShield (ASX:DRO) develops Artificial Intelligence-enabled systems intended to address threats posed by drones and autonomous technologies. The Company supplies customised counter-UAS and electronic warfare solutions, along with standardised products that can be deployed across land, sea or air environments.

Leadership Change Within U.S. Operations

DroneShield Limited has announced that its U.S. CEO, Matt McCrann, has resigned from the business with immediate effect. McCrann, who joined the Company in 2019 and took on the U.S. CEO role in 2022, departs during an active period for the Company’s American operations.

U.S. Market Remains Central to Operations

DroneShield noted that its U.S. division continues to be supported by experienced personnel. The Company stated that its counter-UAS systems are already utilised by several tier-1 U.S. Government agencies.

As drones continue to present operational and security risks across various sectors, the Company highlighted the United States as a market expected to see further activity in both military and civilian environments.

Strengthening of U.S. Presence

The announcement also outlined ongoing efforts to scale up DroneShield’s U.S. footprint. This includes the process underway to establish a U.S. product assembly capability, expected to expand operational capacity and streamline regional delivery.

The Company recently appointed a U.S. Advisory Board comprising senior defence and industry professionals to guide development across the region. DroneShield has also increased its American employee base to 35, contributing to a global workforce of approximately 440 employees.
