SKS Technologies Group Limited (ASX:SKS) has received written confirmation of the intent to award a USD 130 million data centre project associated with the second facility known as MEL02A. The project is for a major hyperscale data centre operator located in Melbourne’s western corridor and will be delivered in collaboration with Hickory Construction DC, a builder known for large urban and data centre projects.
This award follows earlier project wins valued at USD 90 million in July last year and USD 100 million in May this year, contributing to SKS Technologies’ expanding involvement in the data centre development sector.
Project Scope for the 90MW Facility
The MEL02A data centre forms part of a purpose-built hyperscale campus positioned in Melbourne’s west, representing a significant addition to digital infrastructure development in the region.
The awarded scope to SKS Technologies covers design and construction of critical electrical systems and supporting infrastructure tied to 90MW of facility capacity. Key components of work include:
- Low- and medium-voltage cabling, installation and testing of client-supplied equipment such as transformers, generators and main switchboards.
- Design, coordination, supply and installation of cable support systems, general switchboards, lighting, power and structured cabling.
Design activities for the project have commenced, with completion currently expected in 3Q27.
Work on Hand Reaches USD 304m
The MEL02A award takes SKS Technologies’ total work on hand to approximately USD 304 million, marking another record high for the business. The company stated that it continues to receive repeat work within the Victorian data centre market, supported by the delivery of complex technical projects.
FY26 Revenue Guidance Updated
With new revenue expected from the MEL02A contract, the Board has revised the company’s FY26 revenue guidance to USD 320 million. The update factors in the level of additional work assumed in earlier forecasts and acknowledges that revenue from the project will be recognised across both FY26 and FY27.
