archTIS Limited (ASX:AR9) shares surged more than 62% on Tuesday morning, touching AUD 0.22 per share, after the cybersecurity company announced a major 3-year contract for its flagship data security solution, NC Protect. The stock has now soared an eye-popping 238% in the past week, buoyed by consecutive defence-sector wins.

Strategic Win

The new agreement is with the UK division of a multinational aerospace and defence corporation and will support the company’s enterprise-wide migration from Microsoft SharePoint Server to Microsoft 365 cloud services.

The contract, valued at approximately A$263,000, covers 400 user licences in its initial phase. However, archTIS noted that the deployment is intended to serve as the global reference model for the customer’s full rollout to more than 100,000 employees—a signal of massive potential scale-up.

Importantly, this deal follows a successful proof-of-concept (POC) and builds on archTIS’s recent momentum, including a notable contract win with the U.S. Department of Defense.

NC Protect Positioned as Critical Security Layer for Defence Clients

The solution will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with the UK Ministry of Defence’s Joint Service Publication 440 (JSP 440), which mandates strict controls on the handling of export-controlled and sensitive defence data.

NC Protect’s attribute-based access control (ABAC) capabilities, which dynamically govern access and usage of data in real time, have proven attractive for military and industrial defence clients seeking to strengthen data security within Microsoft 365 and other modern collaboration tools.

“The award demonstrates increasing global demand for NC Protect’s advanced data-centric security capabilities across allied defence and industrial bases,” said archTIS management.

Market Signals Growing Confidence in archTIS Strategy

The market has responded emphatically to archTIS’s series of high-impact contract wins. With deals now spanning the UK and U.S. defence sectors, the company appears to be carving out a significant niche in the global defence cybersecurity ecosystem.

While the initial contract includes a cancellation for convenience clause, the broader opportunity tied to securing data for an organisation with over 100,000 users represents a major commercial milestone and validates NC Protect's global relevance.
