Highlights

  • True North Copper extends the Aquila Trend at Mt Oxide by 400m, confirming over 500m of defined strike with shallow copper-silver-cobalt mineralisation.
  • Phase 2 drilling has completed 16 holes for 4,338m along 900m of the 1,330m Aquila Trend, including high-grade intercepts of up to 1.76% Cu and 11.1 g/t Ag.
  • Further drilling is underway to test northern and southern extents, with potential to define the Aquila Trend over 900m and explore deeper mineralisation.

True North Copper Limited (ASX:TNC) has announced encouraging results from its extended Phase 2 drilling program at the 100%-owned Mt Oxide Project, located 140km north of Mt Isa in Northwest Queensland. The program has successfully extended the Aquila Trend, highlighting the scale and continuity of shallow copper-silver-cobalt mineralisation and confirming the project’s potential for further growth. During trading on 4 November 2025, TNC shares rose 15.8% to 33 cents per share.

Phase 2 Drilling Delivers New Extensions

The first four holes of the Phase 2 program along the +1.3km Aquila Trend have extended the known mineralised system 400m north from the initial Aquila Discovery. This accessible zone now spans over 500m of strike length. Drilling has completed 16 holes for a total of 4,338m along 900m of the Aquila Trend, with results confirming a large-scale copper system with shallow, continuous mineralisation.

Notable intercepts include:

  • Hole MOX251: 103m at 0.53% Cu, 0.1% Co, 2.6 g/t Ag from 19m, including 10m at 1.76% Cu, 0.30% Co, 6.7 g/t Ag from 106m.
  • Hole MOX252: 72m at 0.55% Cu, 0.16% Co, 5.6 g/t Ag from 124m, including 5m at 1.68% Cu, 0.19% Co, 11.1 g/t Ag from 136m, and 5m at 1.24% Cu, 0.37% Co, 10.3 g/t Ag from 185m.

These results build on earlier Aquila Discovery intercepts, which included 145m at 0.75% Cu and 30m at 2.45% Cu in previous drill holes.

District-Scale Potential

The extended drilling highlights the cohesion of the mineralised system, which remains open both along strike and at depth. The broader Mt Oxide Project lies within major structural corridors that provide considerable untapped exploration potential. True North Copper is using these results to refine targeting for further discoveries along the Aquila Trend and to explore deeper mineralisation in the northern and southern extents.

Next Steps in Drilling

Drilling is ongoing to define the full northern and southern extents of the Aquila corridor. Two shallow holes at the northern end of the Phase 2 program are pending, with potential to extend the Aquila Trend by an additional 150m to approximately 700m. Further results from southern holes are expected to extend the defined mineralisation to around 900m from north to south. Additional drilling at the Acanthis and Apollo trends will continue through November, with the Phase 2 program on schedule for completion in mid-November 2025, weather permitting.
