Highlights

  • Assay results from the 14-hole RC drill program at Hasties Main deposit have been processed.
  • Drilling intersected multiple gold and copper zones, extending near-surface mineralisation by ~150m.
  • Data from this program will inform a revised JORC Mineral Resource Estimate expected in Q1 2026.

Rincon Resources Limited (ASX:RCR) has released the results of its 14-hole, 1,350 m reverse-circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Hasties Main deposit, part of the Telfer South Gold-Copper Project located 10 km south of the Telfer Gold-Copper Mine in Eastern Pilbara, Western Australia. The program was designed to assess the potential to expand the February 2025 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 870,000 t @ 0.96 g/t Au and 0.26% Cu (26,800 oz Au and 2,286 t Cu).

Drill Results and Mineralisation

Drilling intersected multiple zones of gold and copper mineralisation in 12 of the 14 holes. Significant intercepts included 23 m @ 1.05 g/t Au from 64 m (including 9 m @ 1.43 g/t Au), 28 m @ 0.95% Cu from 31 m (including 7 m @ 2.5% Cu), 12 m @ 0.91 g/t Au from 32 m (including 1 m @ 3.71 g/t Au), 38 m @ 0.67% Cu from 0 m (including 1 m @ 16.3% Cu), and 25 m @ 0.58 g/t Au from 24 m (including 3 m @ 1.37 g/t Au). The drilling has extended near-surface mineralisation by approximately 150 m along strike and increased confidence in the transition zone within the current resource. Mineralisation remains open both along strike and at depth.

Geological Context

The Telfer South Project consists of six exploration licences and two prospecting licences covering approximately 540 km², with more than 40 km of prospective geology hosting gold and copper mineralisation. The South Telfer area is dominated by thinly bedded dolomite and dolomitic siltstone, with localized massive dolomite bodies, all part of the Isdell Formation. Copper-gold breccia-style mineralisation is closely associated with carbonate breccias, with prominent zones like Hasties Main grading laterally into less mineralised carbonate breccia areas.

Next Steps

Following the completion of the recent drilling, Rincon Resources will receive sample density data and submit samples for preliminary gold and copper metallurgical test work. Priority drill targets will be reassessed within approved Heritage Survey boundaries, and Stage 2 drilling will commence once permissions are granted. A Mobile MT geophysical survey will also be implemented and interpreted. Results from the drilling and metallurgical testing will feed into a revised JORC MRE for Hasties Main, expected in Q1 2026.
