  • Metallurgical testing at Mulwarrie shows 93 percent average gold recovery from multiple samples.
  • Two rigs begin drilling program targeting southern extensions and deeper high-grade zones.
  • Comet Vale drilling continues with three rigs supporting future resource updates.

Gorilla Gold Mines Ltd (ASX:GG8) has released metallurgical results from recent drilling samples collected at the Mulwarrie Project in Western Australia. The program included nine variability samples weighing between 3kg and 5kg, selected to represent different lodes, depths, oxidation levels, lithologies and gold grades.

A master composite sample grading 3.4g/t Au was created by combining selected crushed material from these samples. This composite underwent grind-size testing at 75, 106, 125 and 150 microns. Gold extraction improved at finer grind sizes, with 106 microns assessed as an effective balance between grind input and recovery outcomes.

The variability samples were crushed to p80 3.35mm and ground to 106 microns before gravity processing by a benchtop concentrator and cyanide leach of the gravity tail. This work achieved an average gold recovery of 93%, with gravity extraction contributing 44.5 percent. Highest recovery within individual samples reached 98.5%. Testing used hypersaline site water, requiring lime addition to maintain pH stability during leaching.

Multi-element analysis completed on 500g sub-samples from each composite showed arsenic levels below 20ppm, with no other deleterious elements identified. These results are planned to be incorporated into upcoming technical studies on the Mulwarrie Mineral Resource Estimate of 350koz at 3.6g/t Au.

Drilling Activity Targets Resource Growth Areas

A new drilling program has commenced at Mulwarrie using one reverse-circulation rig and one diamond drill rig. Initial work is focused on the southern section of the project area with both extensional and infill drilling underway. Targets include step-out zones and deeper mineralised positions associated with earlier intercepts such as 4.0m at 4.5g/t Au from 92m, 5.0m at 13.4g/t Au from 210m and 4.2m at 54.0g/t Au from 334.3m.

Mulwarrie is located on granted Mining Leases adjacent to the Riverina-Davyhurst haul road and lies within a region containing multiple operational gold processing facilities within a 100km radius. Mineralisation is associated with a north-west trending, steeply dipping fault system developed within mafic and intermediate units, with quartz veining and sulphide assemblages including pyrrhotite and pyrite.

Comet Vale Programs Progress Toward Future Resource Updates

Three rigs are also operating at the Comet Vale Project, where drilling activity supports resource expansion beyond the Mineral Resource Estimate expected in December 2025. Additional soil sampling and follow-up drilling are underway to revisit anomalies identified during earlier field programs.
