Highlights

  • March 2025 Tolmer discovery hole ranked 5th highest-grade silver intersection globally in H1 2025.

  • New soil assays suggest material extensions of Au-Ag-Pb mineralisation in Tolmer’s ‘western silver zone’.

  • Continuous gold anomalism confirmed at Black Oak Tank prospect along key structural features.

Barton Gold Holdings Limited (ASX:BGD) announced encouraging soil assay results from its Tarcoola Gold Project in South Australia, with findings indicating extensions of mineralisation and potential new targets at both Tolmer and Black Oak Tank prospects. The announcement lifted BGD shares by 10.8% to trade at AUD 1.23 per share on 24 September 2025.

Tolmer Discovery and Extensions

The March 2025 Tolmer discovery hole was recognised as the fifth highest-grade silver intersection globally during the first half of 2025, with results including 6m at 4,747 g/t silver from just 46m depth. Subsequent drilling between May and June confirmed extensions within the ‘western silver zone’, with silver grades ranging from ~200 to 4,750 g/t and emerging gold intersections of ~5–50 g/t.

New soil assays indicate a potential northwest-southeast orientation of mineralisation, suggesting broader continuity. The results confirm a wide surface footprint of gold, silver, and lead anomalism across Tolmer, pointing to possible expansions in the high-grade ‘western silver zone’.

Pending assays from a 595.3m oriented diamond drilling program at Tolmer are expected in early November 2025 and are anticipated to guide further structural interpretation and follow-up targeting.

Black Oak Tank Prospect

At the Black Oak Tank prospect, soil assays have identified continuous gold anomalism aligned with basement-hosted structural features. A total of 416 samples collected at 100m intervals along 500m spaced lines returned low-level but consistent gold values.

Although the gold tenor remains modest, the presence of multiple zones of continuous mineralisation along structural corridors is considered encouraging. Historical regional calcrete sampling in the area returned results up to 17ppb gold, while the latest assays show values up to 26.2ppb, highlighting improved potential in this zone.

Broader Mineralisation Footprints

Soil sampling across Tolmer highlighted distinct anomalies. The ‘western silver zone’ returned a broad footprint of silver associated with significant gold and lead anomalism, suggesting mineralisation extends beyond the current drilling footprint. Sampling also revealed previously untested Au-Ag-Pb profiles, offering new prospective targets.

In contrast, assays at the ‘eastern gold zone’ indicated a gold-dominant anomaly with reduced silver and lead presence. Historical assays in this area included up to 83.6 g/t gold alongside silver grades of up to 312 g/t, confirming mineralisation potential across multiple zones.

Ongoing Work

Beyond Tolmer and Black Oak Tank, Barton also completed a smaller soil sampling program at the ‘308’ prospect within the Challenger Gold Project. However, no significant results were reported.

Meanwhile, a diamond drilling program comprising three holes was completed at the ‘eastern gold zone’ in late August. Core logging has been finalised, with samples mobilised for laboratory testing. Assay results are expected by early November, which will provide additional insights into structural controls and future drilling targets.
