Highlights

  • Phase I drilling confirms 520.61Mt at 2.49% TREO Eq inferred resource.
  • NdPr content exceeds 1Mt, positioning Kameelburg as a global NdPr deposit.
  • Phase II drilling commences in October with expanded depth capacity.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) announced an updated Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Kameelburg project in Namibia, reporting an 85% increase to 520.61 million tonnes (Mt) at 2.49% total rare earth oxides equivalent (TREO Eq). This estimate is based on Phase I drilling results at a 0.5% TREO cut-off grade.

The resource includes a high-grade zone of 271.0 Mt at 2.90% TREO Eq and 231.59 Mt at 0.24% Nb₂O₅, with cut-off grades of 1.0% TREO and 0.1% Nb₂O₅, respectively. The inferred resource also contains over 1,000,000 tonnes of neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr) and 1,000,000 tonnes of niobium pentoxide (Nb₂O₅).

Geological Context and Comparisons

The deposit remains open along the strike (east–west) and at depth. With the arrival of rigs capable of drilling up to 750 meters, Phase II drilling is scheduled to commence in October. Additional drilling will also target the recently identified high-grade niobium zone to the west.

Kameelburg’s MRE now places it alongside the Niobec/Saint-Honoré carbonatite complex in Quebec, Canada. The Saint-Honoré project, acquired by Magris in 2015 for USD 530 million, contained 416 Mt at 0.41% Nb₂O₅ and 527.2 Mt at 1.83% TREO. Unlike Saint-Honoré, which lies beneath significant overburden, Kameelburg’s carbonatite is largely exposed across ~160 hectares, rising 275 meters above the peneplain.

Next Steps and Exploration

Geophysical and geochemical surveys are scheduled to begin in October at the adjacent Omurango tenement (EPL 7372) to define additional rare earth element targets. Metallurgical testwork on the Kameelburg ore is currently underway and expected to conclude in the near future.

The project is in Namibia, which is considered an established mining jurisdiction with proximity to quality infrastructure.

ARN shares gained 4.08% to close at AUD 0.51 per share on 26 September 2025.
