Mantra Group Limited
MTR Details
· First half of 2017 results scheduled this month: Mantra Group Limited (ASX: MTR) stock rallied over 5.2% on February 01, 2017 partly due to the positive sentiments among investors ahead of the group’s results scheduled to be released on February 17, 2017. The stock is also getting uplifted from the international travel scenario. The group has a portfolio in major destinations, and has added 11 new properties in FY16. The group also made Tomas Johnsson as Chief Operating Officer to enhance their business performance. Ala Moana Hotel, Hawaii acquisition in July 2016 is a major asset, as this is a property comprising over 1000 rooms and reported a solid occupancy and was under the Mantra banner in its first three months of FY17. Moreover, Southport Central acquisition enhanced the current permanent rental portfolio with a sizeable permanent rental property and a catalyst for pursuing opportunities in this market sector. Mantra is constantly pursuing acquisition opportunities.
· Recommendation: Mantra Group stock fell over 17.6% in the last three months (as of January 31, 2017) impacted by the tough market conditions even though they reported decent FY16 results. Accordingly, we believe investors need to leverage the subdued levels as a buying opportunity. We give a “Buy” recommendation on the stock at the current price of – $ 2.85
