Collaborative Deal to Create Next version of Counterdrone Vehicle: Droneshield Limited (ASX: DRO) is the small-cap company with the market capitalization of 32.29 Mn as of July 24, 2018. Recently, the group and Intelligent Security Integration Aust. Pty Ltd (ISI) have signed a collaborative deal to develop a next-generation surveillance vehicle with drone-killing capabilities.

DroneShield is an Australia-based public company and its products provide a protection from trespass by the drones to people and critical infrastructure. ISI is a Melbourne based Australian private company specializing in security and surveillance equipment and its flagship products are “Rapid Scout HQ and its associated Rapid Scout surveillance sensors” which can be used in locations where traditional CCTV coverage is limited or not possible. With the collaboration of both partners, the new platform will consolidate a drone detection radar and a radio frequency-based drone detection tool on the vehicle’s CCTV mast, with the option to add a DroneCannon jamming module. Resultantly, the product is believed to be a first of its kind, a non-military vehicle with a suite of counter-drone multisensor detect and defeat solutions. Besides this, DroneShield and ISI will continue marketing their existing respective product suites and will not be affected by the partnership. We expect that the collaborative partnership will allow entering the vehicle-based law enforcement, security and military market, using a proven vehicle platform that ISI provides.

Meanwhile, the group has been awarded an additional patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on technology relating to ground-breaking developments in the acoustic detection of drones.

Given the updates, we maintain a “Hold” at the current price of $ 0.185 while the stock has been down 9.52% in the last six months, as at July 23, 2018.
