Signed MOU for potential South Korean Downstream Processing Facility: Pilbara Minerals Ltd (ASX: PLS) has signed a non-binding MoU with Polaris Shipping to start preliminary discussions with Polaris Shipping and LG Chem with regards to a potential joint venture for a downstream lithium chemical conversion facility servicing South Korea’s rapidly growing lithium-ion battery industry. PLS is looking forward for further discussions with Polaris Shipping and LG Chem, that may lead to commercial terms being agreed and a formal joint venture being established for the downstream project. The MOU is indicated to be an opportunity for PLS’ participation in one of the world’s most exciting and fastest growing markets for lithium raw materials outside of China. Meanwhile, PLS stock has risen 151% in last three months as on November 09, 2017 and was up 4.6% on November 10, 2017. Based on the foregoing, we give a “Hold” recommendation on the stock at the current price of $1.025
 

Lepidico Ltd

Positive momentum: Lepidico Ltd.’s (ASX: LPD) shares surged 33.33% on November 10, 2017 while the group has been benefitting from the recent lithium industry trends and the latest stake from Galaxy in the group. LPD has released the list of top 20 securityholders and has successfully completed its entitlement offer and private placement to Galaxy. Primarily, LPD and GXY recently joined hands under a plan to develop and commercialise Lepidico’s L-Max technology that allows the extraction and recovery of lithium from lithium-bearing micas. The group is now fully funded to complete phase one of the L-Max plant feasibility study. The stock has surged 125% in last one month and trades at high level. While we await further positive developments, we give a “Hold” at the current price of $0.036
