Amaero will collaborate with Titomic on the development of new alloys while providing continuity from testing to commercial production.
Titomic Limited (ASX:TTT), a global provider of cold spray additive manufacturing technology through its proprietary Titomic Kinetic Fusion™ process, has entered into a five-year Strategic Supply and Development Agreement with Amaero Ltd. (ASX:3DA). The agreement secures Amaero as the exclusive supplier of spherical refractory and titanium alloy powders to support Titomic’s defense, space, and aerospace programs.
The partnership is designed to ensure consistent access to high-quality powders, a critical element in enabling the scalability and reliability of cold spray additive manufacturing. The agreement also enhances the U.S. domestic supply chain for mission-critical industries while offering flexibility for sourcing in specific circumstances.
Agreement Details
Under the terms, Amaero will supply Titomic with spherical refractory and titanium alloy powders, produced using gas atomization or plasma spheroidization processes. These powders will be qualified through Titomic’s development programs and made available for commercial production, ensuring continuity from testing to deployment.
The scope of exclusivity applies only to spherical refractory and titanium alloy powders, while other powder types remain unrestricted. Should Amaero fail to achieve certification for a selected alloy within 12 months, or be unable to deliver within 180 days of a purchase order, Titomic is permitted to source materials from alternative suppliers.
Amaero is also restricted from entering into development collaborations with certain Titomic competitors but retains the ability to sell powders to other market participants.
Joint Development and Pricing Structure
The agreement establishes a collaborative framework under which Titomic and Amaero will jointly select and develop new refractory and titanium alloy powders. Amaero will oversee production, while Titomic will apply the materials in coatings, repairs, and near-net-shape part manufacturing. Intellectual property and data from testing will be shared between both parties.
Pricing will vary by alloy type and will be determined by the landed cost of feedstock materials, with a fixed markup applied. Reviews will occur twice a year to assess pricing against market conditions. If Amaero is unable to match competitive pricing, Titomic retains the right to procure powders from other sources.
Strategic Importance
The agreement underscores the increasing demand for resilient supply chains in the defense, aerospace, and space sectors, where reliable access to advanced materials is critical. For Titomic, the arrangement ensures a stable and scalable pipeline of specialized powders tailored to its cold spray applications. For Amaero, the agreement secures a significant role as a long-term supplier aligned with the growth trajectory of Titomic’s technology in advanced manufacturing markets.
The partnership commenced on 29 August 2025 and has a term of five years. Neither party is obligated to commit to minimum purchase volumes, providing flexibility while preserving exclusivity within defined categories.
