Shares of icetana Limited (ASX:ICE) surged more than 68% on Tuesday morning, reaching 2.7 cents, following the announcement of a major strategic partnership with SoftBank Robotics Group Corp. and its subsidiaries.

The Australian AI surveillance analytics company confirmed that it has executed four strategic agreements with SoftBank Robotics Group. The collective value of the agreements exceeds AUD 3.6 million.

Strategic Investment by SoftBank

Under the terms of the partnership, SoftBank Robotics Singapore Pte. Ltd. will become a strategic investor in icetana AI, investing AUD 1.87 million. This investment will increase SoftBank’s equity stake in the company to 17.6% of icetana’s total issued shares, positioning them as a major shareholder.

Exclusive Distribution in Japan

As part of the strategic alignment, SoftBank Robotics Corp. will act as the exclusive distributor of icetana AI's video analytics solutions in Japan. The agreement includes a guaranteed minimum annual recurring revenue commitment of USD 450,000 (approximately AUD 693,000). 

Joint Product Development Program

Further deepening the collaboration, icetana and SoftBank Robotics Corp. will jointly engage in a three-year product development program. This initiative, valued at AUD 1.08 million, is aimed at integrating icetana’s AI-based video analytics with SoftBank’s automation and security solutions

In addition to corporate developments, icetana is also planning to undertake advanced geophysical surveys, including a high-resolution drone magnetic survey and sub-audio magnetics (SAM) at one of its project areas. These methods are designed to support effective subsurface targeting and enhance geological analysis. The surveys will commence once field infrastructure is fully established.
