About Speaker

Dr Razmjou is the Board Director of the Membrane Society of Australasia (MSA), Lecturer, Founder and leader of the Mineral Recovery Research Centre at ECU, Western Australia, Perth, and editorial board member of the Journal of Desalination. Having over 15 years of passion to create innovations for a sustainable future, Dr Razmjou has multidisciplinary skills and experience in research and technology development, chemical process transformation, entrepreneurship and commercialization. His diverse multi-industry background covers metal extraction and resource recovery, desalination, water treatment and recycling, energy storage, sensors and education. Dr Amir is well-recognised academic and on a clear upward trajectory to becoming a world-class independent research leader in resource recovery (lithium) and its industry process transformation. He has already notable leadership qualities and skills and highly developed mentorship experience/expertise that is very well demonstrated in his portfolio (prizes, awards, supervised students (more than 25 postgraduates), held leadership roles in collaborations and has more than 160 peer-reviewed publications in related top-tier journals with above 6800 citations and h-index of 41, Nov 2022). As a corporate consultant, Dr Amir has been advising industries using his technical abilities and knowledge. In 2014, he was announced as Finalist in the Australian Museum's Eureka Awards due to his contribution to desalination using hydrogel assisted FO technology. Dr Razmjou was awarded the prestigious and highly competitive 2021 University of Technology Sydney Chancellor’s Research Fellowship and has secured several national and international research grants.
