Financial Services Guide

This Financial Services Guide (FSG) has been prepared and issued by Kalkine Pty Limited (ABN 34 154 808 312 and Australian Financial Services Licence Number 425376) (Kalkine), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kalkine Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 17 634 953 647) (formerly known as Kalkine Holdings Pty Ltd).
This FSG relates to financial services provided by Kalkine and its authorised representative Kalkine Solutions Private Limited (ARBN 622 210 075 and AFS Representative Number 001262570) (KSPL). Further details about these services, referred to as the “Services” in this FSG, are set out in the ‘Our services’ section below.
References to ‘we’, ‘our’ and ‘us’ refer to Kalkine and KSPL.
Kalkine’s Authorised Representative
Kalkine has appointed Kalkine Solutions Private Limited (ARBN 622 210 075 and AFS Representative Number 001262570) (KSPL) as its authorised representative to provide general financial product advice in relation to the financial products outlined in the ‘Our services’ section below. KSPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kalkine. When providing the authorised services, KSPL acts for Kalkine as Kalkine’s authorised representative.
General Advice Warning
The advice given by Kalkine and KSPL and provided on the Kalkine website (kalkine.com.au), in our reports/ model portfolio and other publications, and through our customer service support centre, is general advice only. This means that it does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. You should therefore consider whether the advice is appropriate to your investment objectives, financial situation and needs before acting upon it.
You should also seek advice from a financial adviser, stockbroker or other professional (including taxation and legal advice) as necessary before acting on any advice. Not all investments are appropriate for all people and we cannot guarantee the performance of, or returns on, any investment.

Our services
The services provided by Kalkine and KSPL described in this section are referred to in this FSG as the “Services”.
Kalkine
Kalkine’s Australian Financial Services Licence authorises it to provide general financial product advice, as well as deal in financial products by arranging for another person to apply for, acquire, vary or dispose of financial products, in relation to specific classes of financial products.
Kalkine is authorised to provide the above financial services to both retail and wholesale clients in relation to the following classes of financial products:
- Securities
- Derivatives
- Foreign exchange contracts
- Debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government
- Interests in managed investment schemes, including investor directed portfolio services
Kalkine’s services include delivering research reports/ model portfolio as well as other publications through newsletters, e-letters or the Kalkine website.
Apart from the research services, Kalkine also provides you with access to its webinar services from time to time on payment of a registration fee applicable for the webinar. The webinars are provided for general and educational purpose only and should not be considered as financial advice/ services or recommendation by Kalkine in any manner.
KSPL
KSPL conducts and maintains Kalkine’s customer service support centre. KSPL and its staff may also be involved in preparing research reports/ model portfolio and other publications issued by Kalkine. In conducting these activities, KSPL as authorised representative of Kalkine may provide general financial product advice to both retail and wholesale clients in relation to the specific classes of financial products outlined above.
Kalkine acts on its own behalf when financial services are provided by KSPL as Kalkine’s authorised representative.
How do we get paid?
Kalkine and KSPL
Kalkine charges you an annual subscription fee when you subscribe to one of our research services. Our subscription fees range from $199.99 to $11,000 incl. GST per annum depending on the service you select.
Kalkine’s multiyear and combined subscription packages for different reports/ model portfolio may also be sold at a discounted price. The subscription fee may change from time to time as a result of ongoing promotional offers.
Apart from the subscription fees referred to above, neither Kalkine nor KSPL receives any other remuneration, commission or other benefits in respect of, or that is attributable to, its provision of research services.
For the provision of webinar services, there is a registration fee.
Employees and directors
All employees and directors of Kalkine and KSPL receive a salary. They may also be eligible to receive performance-based bonuses (which are discretionary) if they meet a pre-set agreed performance indicator. These discretionary bonuses do not depend on the total value or number of financial products recommended to or acquired by our customers.
Neither Kalkine, KSPL, its employees, directors or any other person receives any remuneration, commission or other benefits for referring another person to Kalkine.
You can ask for more information about the particulars of the remuneration or other benefits received by Kalkine, KSPL, any other member of the Kalkine group, or their respective directors, employees or associates in relation to the provision by Kalkine or KSPL of the Services. This request must be made within a reasonable period after receiving this FSG and before we provide you with any services identified in this FSG.
What to do if you have a complaint
If you have a complaint or concern about us, our customer support call centre or our subscription services, please contact us on (02) 90559490 or email [email protected]. After we receive your complaint, we will assess it and decide what (if any) action should be taken in response. The time it takes us to assess, respond to and resolve complaints generally depends on their nature and complexity.
If your complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, and you are unhappy with our decision, you may refer your dispute to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). There is no charge for this service, and a decision of AFCA is binding on us but not on you.

Professional indemnity insurance
We are covered by professional indemnity insurance that complies with section 912B of the Corporations Act 2001. The insurance (subject to its terms and conditions) will continue to cover claims in relation to services provided by our respective employees.
Associations or relationships with issuers which might be capable of influencing our advice
Neither Kalkine nor KSPL has any associations or relationships with issuers of financial products which might reasonably be expected to be capable of influencing Kalkine or KSPL in providing the Services.
Kalkine’s related group entity, Kalkine Media Pty Ltd ABN 84 629 651 672 (Kalkine Media) conducts an investor relations and media business that is separate from Kalkine’s and KSPL’s businesses of providing the Services. Kalkine Media may from time to time have relationships with financial product issuers in relation to marketing, publicity and other matters which form part of Kalkine Media’s business. Kalkine has implemented conflict management processes to ensure that any relationships between Kalkine Media and product issuers as part of Kalkine Media’s separate business could not reasonably be expected to be capable of influencing Kalkine’s or KSPL’s provision of the Services.
The employees and directors of Kalkine, KSPL and their related entities are not permitted to trade in securities that are the subject of our research reports or other publications unless those persons comply with certain safeguards and procedures, including obtaining the permission of Kalkine’s compliance officer to do so and only engaging in such trades within permitted trading windows.
How do we use your personal information?
Kalkine and KSPL are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not trade, rent or sell your information. Any personal information we collect such as your name, address, phone, and email details are handled in accordance with Privacy laws.
